“So You Think You Can Dance For A Cause” is a fun event styled after the popular television competition focusing on local dancers. There will be prizes for both the top male and the top female dancers. The winners will be chosen by a combination of scoring judged by dance professionals and by the audience. Not only will this be a wonderful showcase of local dance talent but it is also helping to raise funds for a local charity; “Strays Unlimited”.
~Strays Unlimited rescues abused, blind, sick and otherwise unadoptable animals by giving them a full happy life that otherwise have been cut short by being put down. See “Charities” for further information.
The event will be held in the Port & Starboard in Ocean Beach on November 14th from 6:30pm-Midnight, preceded by a silent auction from 6:30-7:30 pm, followed by social dancing after the competition! Competitors are encouraged to invite friends and family to watch and cheer them on as 50% of competitors scores are based on audience reaction! Tickets are $25 and may be reserved in advance by contacting us through e-mail or phone. Applicaions are available in the link above.
